A letter issued by the Tulaseevana Shri Siddhi Vinayak Trust Committee in Bolantur, Bantwal, during the recent Ganeshotsav procession has sparked a debate, leading to discussions and mixed reactions.
The letter requested the mosque not to distribute sweets and drinks during the procession. The committee cited an incident from last year when some children from their community fell ill after consuming the food offered during the procession. The letter expressed concerns that such incidents could disrupt communal harmony and requested that no refreshments be distributed during future processions.
The letter has gone viral on social media, igniting discussions and drawing both support and criticism from various quarters.
