Bantwal: Locals confront two boys for accompanying girl from other faith

In yet another case of moral policing, locals confronted two Muslim boys who were standing with a Hindu girl at the bus stop near Peruvayi in Bantwal taluk on Thursday.

It is gathered that the boys, residents of Kasaragod had arrived from Kuddupadavu in a bus and were waiting to baord a bus to Uppala.

Locals who noticed them questioned the boys for being with a girl from another faith and filmed their video. Poice said that the boys claimedto have told the locals that they were acquainted with the girl as she is a fellow student

Vitla police personnel took the students to the station and released them after initial inquiry.

A case has been registered.
