Bantwal: Man dies after being bitten by poisonous insect

Bantwal: A 60-year-old man from Bantwal’s Sajipamuda village died reportedly due to a poisonous insect bite.
The deceased has been identified as Andrew D’Souza.
On January 27, Andrew was working in the garden when he was bitten by a poisonous insect. He was administered household medication for the insect bite.
However, as his wound worsened he was admitted to a private hospital in Deralakatte. Andrew passed away on January 28 at the hospital without responding to treatment.
A case has been registered at Bantwal town police station.
