Bantwal: Man dies after falling from areca nut tree

Bantwal: A worker accidentally slipped and fell from an areca nut tree while harvesting areca nuts at Bolangadi, near Panemangalore, on Wednesday, November 13.

The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old John Lobo, a resident of Majal Mane, Bolangadi.

John Lobo was working in the plantation of Padmanabh Prabhu in Bolangadi when he accidentally fell from an areca tree. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Mangaluru, where doctors confirmed his death.

Following a complaint by his wife, Swapna V. M., a case has been registered at the Bantwal Town Police Station.
