Bantwal: Man killed in car-bike collision

Punjalakatte: A 35-year-old man was killed while another sustained serious injuries in a car-bike collision that took place under Bantwal rural police jurisdictional limits on April 28 morning.

The deceased identified as Sandeep Lobo, was working as a welder. His neighbour Akash sustained serious injuries in the mishap and has been admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

Sandeep and Akash were travelling from BC road towards Punjalakatta on their bike when a Ritz car coming from the opposite direction rammed into them. As per reports, the Ritz car driver was driving in a reckless manner and at high speed.

Both of them were rushed to the hospital, but Sanddep died en route.

Punjalakatta police visited the spot and registered a case.
