Bantwal: A woman was injured after a man tried to kill her for not messaging him.

The accused is Ramesh, a resident of Pallipadi and the victim is Latha, wife of Pilimogaru resident Umesh.

Reportedly, Ramesh used to frequently message Latha, when Umesh got to know about this he warned his wife not to message the accused.

After a few days, Ramesh came to Latha’s house to ask why she stopped messaging him. While Latha explained the reason to him, Ramesh tried to touch her inappropriately.

When Latha warned him that she would tell her husband about his behavior, Ramesh brought a knife and tried to stab and kill her.

As soon as Latha raised an alarm, her in-laws rushed to her rescue. She is currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Meanwhile, Ramesh is absconding.
