Bantwal: Mini goods tempo moves in reverse, runs over 3-yo girl child

A three-year-old child was killed after a mini goods tempo that was parked outside a home suddenly reversed and ran over her on Wednesday at Tippunagar in Loretto Padavu, Bantwal

The victim has been identified as Ashika, the daughter of Unais from Farangipet.

Ashika’s mother was visiting her parents’ home in Loretto Padavu, and the child was playing outside when the incident occurred. Reportedly, the parked tempo, owned by a relative, unexpectedly moved backward, hitting the child.

The severely injured child was rushed to the hospital, but she was declared dead upon arrival. Bantwal Traffic Police have registered a case, and further investigation is ongoing.
