Bantwal: Nepalese youth arrested for selling marijuana

Bantwal: Two men, including a Nepalese youth, were arrested on Wednesday, November 11 for trying to sell marijuana.

The arrested are TP Farooq (50) from Mangaluru and Sagar Singh (22) from Nepal.

1.480 kilograms of marijuana worth Rs 10,32,900 and a Maruti Breeza car were seized from the duo.

The case came to light when the police received a tip-off that a car with two men and carrying marijuana is moving on the BC Road to deliver the marijuana to a buyer.

Inspector Cheluvaraju and other police officials stopped the car at Melkar bus stand and after inquiry apprehended the two.

It was learnt that Sagar lives in a paying guest accommodation in Mangaluru and was dealing in marijuana with Farooq.
