Bantwal: Pedestrian dies after being hit by bike

Bantwal: A pedestrian succumbed to the injuries he sustained in an accident at Thumbay on the Mangaluru-Bengaluru NH.

The deceased identified as Nagaraj (55) was walking along the road in front of Thumbay Vaishali Wines when a bike hit him. He sustained injuries to his head, face and legs in the mishap.

He was rushed to a private hospital in Thumbay for treatment where he passed away.

The bike rider, Deepak Shetty, also sustained minor injuries in the incident.

As per the complaint, the bike rider’s negligence caused the accident. A case has been registered at Bantwal traffic police station.
