Bantwal: Person accused in attempt to murder case arrested after 15 years

Bantwal: A person accused in an attempt to murder case and who was absconding for 15 years was nabbed by the Bantwal Police at Manjeshwar’s Bandyodi on Wednesday, October 20.
Mohammed Farooq, a resident of Thuminadu of Kunjathur village, Kasargod is the accused.
Meanwhile, Farooq is remanded to judicial custody by the court.
In the year 2007, during the communal riots, Farooq along with his associates had allegedly attempted to murder a person. Based on this, a complaint was filed at the Bantwal Police Station. However, Farooq managed to escape.
On Wednesday, October 19, the Bantwal Police on receiving information from a credible source, nabbed Farooq from Bandyodi.
Probationary PSI Dhanraj, Head Constables Ganesh, Rajesh, and Irshad of Bantwal Police Station were involved in the search operation.
