Bantwal: Scooter-bus collision — Death toll rises to 2

Bantwal: A second person has succumbed to injuries sustained in a bus-scooter collision that occurred on November 3 near Kadegoli on National Highway 75.

Sandeep (30), a resident of Kadegoli, was severely injured in the accident and was undergoing treatment at a Mangaluru hospital, but he passed away on November 5.

The other scooter rider, Praveen (30), had died on the spot after the accident.

The incident reportedly occurred due to the high speed of the private bus, sparking local outrage, leading to a protest where residents pelted stones at the bus. Bantwal Traffic Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
