Bantwal: Scooter rider injured in road mishap

Bantwal: A scooterist sustained injuries after a goods tempo rammed into his vehicle on the BC Road-Punjalakatte highway near Bhandaribettu here on June 19.

The victim has been identified as B.C. Mohammad Irshad, a resident of Shantiangadi Road. He was admitted to a Mangaluru hospital for treatment.

It is alleged that rash and negligent driving by the tempo driver, Naseer, caused the accident.

A case has been registered at Bantwal traffic police station in this regard.
