Bantwal: Miscreants broke into a house at Nelyapalke in Maninalkuru village and made away with gold ornaments worth Rs 2.50 lakh.
The house that was burgled belonged to Kariya Moolya who along with his family had left home around 9 am on May 22 to go to their relatives’ house. The family returned home on May 23 and found that their house had been burgled.
It is said that Kariya Moolya’s daughter’s marriage was fixed and the family had kept 9 sovereigns of gold worth Rs 2.50 lakh in their locker which has now been stolen.
A case has been registered.
