Bantwal: Thieves target locked house, decamp with valuables

Bantwal: Thieves broke into a locked house at Bantwal and decamped with 67 grams of gold jewelry valuing Rs 3.40 lakhs and Rs 5,000 in cash here on October 29.

The theft took place at the residence of Veekshit at BC Road.

On October 29 morning, Veekshit had left for work and had tucked away the house key near the door after locking it. However, when he returned that evening he found that the door was ajar. Upon going inside he noticed that the cupboard had been opened and the cash and jewelry had gone missing.

A case has been registered at Bantwal Town police station in this regard.
