Bantwal: Woman from ‘Tulunadu’ selected for Qatar FIFA medical team

Punjalakatte: A proud moment for the people of “Tulunadu” as a woman from Bantwal taluk has been selected in the FIFA World Cup 2022 medical team which is on in Qatar.

Pratibha N Darkasu, wife of Naveen Poojary, who is a resident of Dota-Darkasu of Kudambettu village, Bantwal taluk is the one who is selected for FIFA medical team.

Pratibha has become the first woman from Karnataka to be ever selected for the FIFA medical team.

She is working at Hamad Medical Corporation and has been honoured for her outstanding service during the Covid 19 pandemic.

Recognizing her service, she has been made the FIFA medical team nursing in-charge.

Meanwhile, it is learned that Prathiba along with her family are residing in Qatar for the past several years.
