Bantwal: Woman hangs self after husband objects to excessive use of mobile

Bantwal: A 35-year-old married woman allegedly ended her life after her family objected to her using the mobile phone excessively.
The deceased has been identified as Jayalaxmi Devadiga, wife of Hariprasad. The couple has a son and a daughter.
Recently Hariprasad had taken objection to Jayalaxmi spending a lot of time on her phone. Hariprasad also called her family and asked them to speak to Jayalaxmi in this regard.
Jayalami got depressed as her family too agreed with Hariprasad and asked her not to spend a lot of time on the mobile phone.
On Wednesday, April 12 after Hariprasad went out to the market she hanged herself in the cowshed of her house at Nayanadu, Benchinadka.
A case has been registered at Punjalakatte police station.
