Mangaluru: Some miscreants have changed the name of Shree Kshethra Bappanadu Sri Durgaparameshwari temple at Mulki on Google Map.
Reportedly, the name has been changed to Hazrat Bappa Byari Durga Parameshwari.
Following the incident, complaints have been filed with the Mangaluru city police commissioner, Mulki police station, and Mangaluru cyber crime police station.
Meanwhile, devotees and the administrative committee of the temple have expressed anguish and demanded strict action against the culprits.
As commoners cannot do any changes on Google Map, some shrewd miscreants have done this. The administrative committee of the temple has taken action to rename the temple as Sri Durgaparameshwari temple, Bappanadu.
The incident took place a few days after Muslim traders were prohibited from carrying out business at the temple fair held between March 17 to 25.
