Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) chief Gaurav Gupta has gifted a laptop for a 16-year-old girl, working as a flower vendor, after she complained that attending online classes over phone gives less clarity.
The teenage girl, Banashankari H, a student of Mitralaya Girls High School in Sampangiram Nagar, sells flowers near the BBMP office while attending her online classes. She sits there from 8 am to 2 pm, attending her classes on the go. After going back home for an hour to study, she returns to the flower stall in the evening.
Recently, she caught the eye of Gaurav Gupta, BBMP chief commissioner, who offered to buy her a laptop in order to make her studies easier.
Banashankari expressed her gratitude towards the BBMP chief commissioner for finding her worthy of his help.
