BBMP launches ‘Vaccine Vehicles’ to expedite door-to-door COVID-19 vaccination

Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has launched a ‘Vaccine Vehicle’ special programme to expedite door-to-door COVID-19 vaccination coverage in the city.

A total of 96 ‘Vaccine Vehicles’, 80 two-wheelers and 16 cars, have been deployed across municipal limits of Bengaluru.

Each zone will get eight two-wheelers and two cars for the block and lane-level vaccination drives, the BBMP said.

As of Wednesday, November 24, a total of 1,36,99,018 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in the city. 88 per cent of the eligible population have received at least the first dose and the coverage for both doses is 62 per cent.
