Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) is considering live telecast of council sessions. The proposition has been planned based on ‘Janagraha’ study, BBMP Special Commissioner B M Vijayashankar said.

The live telecast assumes a noteworthy part in the interest of people in the decision making process. People can watch how their chosen members take an interest in the discussions. In light of their effectiveness and cooperation, individuals can choose different viewpoints including whether the chosen delegate is deserving of getting re-elected not.

At the point when Roshan Baig was the minister for information and public broadcast,  there was a proposal of live telecast of the Assembly sessions with a separate channel. However, that was ruled out later.
