Brahmavar: The body of a 19-year-old youth was found hanging from a tree near his residence at Maikorme, on Wednesday, March 4.
The deceased Charan Shetty, a resident of Mandarthi was pursuing BCom at a private college.
Sources said that Charan was under depression and had reportedly spoken to his friend over the telephone before committing suicide.
It is said that Charan had reportedly been insulted during the parents-teachers’ meeting held at his college over some incident that occurred on college day. Charan was reportedly suspended and not even provided the free laptop given to students under the government scheme.
Brahmavar police visited the place and conducted further investigation.
