BDA illegal land allotment: ACB files FIR against 2 KAS officers

Bengaluru: ACB officials have booked two BDA officials for illegal allotment of Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) land to Kolageri residents.

A First Information Report (FIR) was filed against Karnataka Administrative Service (KAS) officers Jagadish who served as Deputy Secretary-2 and Roopa who served as Deputy Secretary-3.

There were allegations that more than one site of BDA land was illegally allotted to some Kolageri residents.

Based on a complaint, ACB sleuths had raided the BDA offices in November 2019 and confiscated documents related to the land allotment. As more irregularities were detected during the searches, the ACB had requested the state government for filing an FIR to facilitate investigations against the two officers.

On April 21, the state government had given a green signal to ACB’s request.
