Mangaluru is abuzz with excitement as the Beach Utsav 2023 has arrived at Thannirbavi Beach, promising a jubilant extravaganza. Here’s your comprehensive guide to navigating this grand event.
Venue:
The event is being held at the first Beach on the Thannirbavi stretch and is accessible via a well-connected bus service. Word of advice, if you are dependent on bus for commute then the last service leaves from the venue at 8.30 pm toward Kottara Chowki.
The journey can also include a scenic route from Sultan Batheri, taking a ferry ride across the river channel followed by a ride on auto-rickshaw ride to the site. Last ferry service is at 7.30 pm.
Entry and vehicle parking:
Entry to this exciting event is free, but parking is limited. To secure hassle-free parking, arriving early is advisable.
Event Highlights and Schedule:
Running from December 6 to December 10, the Utsav offers an array of attractions. Starting at around 4 pm, when evening crowd usually visits the beach for fun activities. Aattendees can indulge in food counters, joyrides, horseriding, camel riding, and more.
The main stage show, a captivating spectacle, begins at 7 pm and continues till 10 pm.

Thursday’s turnout was impressive despite the weekday scheduling, hinting at an even larger crowd expected over the weekends.
