Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah said that BJP MP Tejasvi Surya unearthed the ‘bribe for bed’ scam involving BBMP officials to ‘protect the image of his political bosses’.
Siddaramaiah also demanded to know why the South Bengaluru MP Tejasvi Surya stayed silent on the matter despite knowing about it ten days earlier.
In a series of tweets, Siddaramaiah said, “Tejasvi Surya, MLA Ravi Subramanya, and Satish Reddy should have conducted a sting operation against Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, his ministers, MLAs, and all the MPs. This whole drama is to protect the image of his political bosses. BBMP officers and workers are just scapegoats.”
“In Karnataka BJP leaders’ attempt to build palaces over dead bodies, the fight is about whose palace should be biggest. Prime Minister will be like, wait for my Central Vista House Smiling face with sunglasses,” he said.
He further added, “Like King Like Ministers. Narendra Modi’s actual slogan is ‘Mai Bhi Khaunga, Thum Bhi Khao’. And Karnataka BJP leaders are following the same even in Covid19 management and scam.
He then questioned, “Where are the 25 MPs from BJP Karnataka hiding during this time of crisis? These MPs should sit in front of Prime Minister of India’s house and demand the necessary facilities required to treat #COVID19 patients.”
