Belagavi: 3 seperate suicides by coming under train reported

Belagavi: Three separate suicides in and near the city by coming under trains were reported on Wednesday.

One of the deceased has been identified while the other two are yet to be known.

Ashok Eerappa Kattimani (46) from Ankalagi village died by laying his head on the railway tracks on the Paschapura-Suladhala route.

A 60-year-old committed suicide on the railway tracks at the city’s Samarth Nagar.

While another 55-year-old man committed suicide by laying his head on the railway tracks near the Chikkodi Road railway station.

The Belgaum Railway Police Station has requested the general public to contact them on 0831-2405273 for any information that can help in identifying the two unidentified deceased.
