Belagavi: Min Hebbalkar defends CM Siddaramaiah, alleges efforts being made to destabilize non-BJP governments

Minister for Women and Child Development, Lakshmi Hebbalkar on Saturday stated that the FIR against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is politically motivated and alleged that efforts are being made to destabilize non-BJP governments across the country.
Speaking to the media in Belagavi Hebbalkar claimed Raj Bhavans is being misused for destabilizing non-BJP governments. “We will fight the case through legal means and will not back down under any circumstances,” she stated.
In a sharp retort, Hebbalkar called for Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who is allegedly entangled in the Rs 6,000 crore electoral bond scam, and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, involved in the denotification scam, to resign first before the BJP targets CM Siddaramaiah.
Hebbalkar criticized the BJP, saying their sole focus is winning elections, while the central government has neglected Karnataka during natural calamities like floods and droughts.
She further accused the Centre of withholding Karnataka’s rightful share of GST revenue, claiming the state is being viewed through a purely political lens.
Hebbalkar also took a dig at Prime Minister Modi, accusing him of misusing Karnataka’s name in other states’ election campaigns by bringing up the “Muda scam” to win votes.
