Belagavi: Police arrest 19-year-old for allegedly killing class 10 student

Belagavi: Police officials have arrested a 19-year-old boy on the charge of killing a minor girl for allegedly refusing his advances in Belagavi.

The accused has been identified as Amir Jamadar, a school dropout. He had stabbed a class 10 student on August 1 while she was walking home from school in Haroorgeri town. The victim died on August 2.  Soon after, the accused was arrested by police officials.,

It is said that the accused had been stalking her for the past few days and also tried to make advances but was turned down multiple times.

A case has been registered and an investigation is underway.
