Doubts are being raised over the death of a 19-year-old girl who passed away today morning at a hospital where she was admitted for treatment.

The victim Tabassum Savaddati, a native of Belagavi’s Bailhongal Taluk had begun working at a call centre in Bengaluru around a month ago.

However, on Wednesday an unidentified person admitted her to the district hospital in Belagavi. Later the youth escaped from there and Tabassum’s mobile phone was also found to be missing.

When her family members arrived at the hospital Tabassum was in a comatose condition. She was then shifted to a private hospital for further treatment. She however died without responding to the treatment on Thursday morning.

Reportedly Tabassum had an injury mark on the back of her head and her family alleged that her face had burn marks caused by cigarette stubs. The family has alleged that she was raped and murdered.
