A few devotees from Belagavi who had travelled to Prayagraj to participate in the Maha Kumbh Mela sustained minor injuries after a “stampede-like” situation broke out at the Sangam on Wednesday.
The injured devotees have been identified as Archana Koparde, Kanchan Koparde, and a young girl Jyoti Megha, residents of Vadagavi, Belagavi.
It is gathered that over 500 people from Belagavi had traveled to the religious event, with reports indicating that some suffered minor injuries.
