Belagavi: Situation turns tense after student was stabbed by miscreants

Belagavi: The situation turned tense in the city on Monday night after a student was injured in a stabbing incident at Anantshayan Galli here.

The injured has been identified as Farhan Dharwadkar, a student of class 10.

Farhan and two of his friends were going on a bike. A group of 8-10 persons were standing on the road and allegedly did not let the bikes pass. An argument soon ensued during which Farhan was stabbed. His friends escaped with their lives.

The student has been seriously injured and was rushed to the district hospital.

The situation remained tense for a while after the incident. Police rushed to the spot and scrambled to bring the situation under control.
