Belagavi: Thieves tie up security guard; Rs 4.5 lakh worth liquor stolen

Belagavi: In a bizarre incident, thieves tied up the security guard of a liquor store and stole Rs 4.5 lakhs worth of liquor in Athani, Belagavi.

The theft happened in Venkateshwara Wines in Ketagiri village on Thursday.

It is said that on Thursday two men came to the wine shop and asked for liquor, security guard denied saying that the shop is closed.

Later, they returned with 4-5 men, attacked the guard, tied him up and stole lakhs worth liquor.

A case has been registered at Athani police station and investigation is underway
