Belgavi police led ‘No helmet No petrol’ campaign

Belagavi: The Belagavi Police have directed a new policy, ‘No helmet, No petrol’.

The police are conducting ‘No Helmet, No Petrol’ campaign to spread awareness among the two wheeler riders.

Riders who ignore the policy and go to the petrol bunk to refill petrol without a helmet can’t avail petrol said the police.

Police have directed the Petrol stations to abide by this rule.

Seema Latkar, deputy commissioner of police (DCP), who conducted a meeting at the police commissioners office, with all the petrol distributors of the city on Tuesday, February 20 has sought their cooperation to make ‘Compulsory Helmet’ campaign a success. As all the petrol distributors agreed to the request of the DCP, the rule is implemented from today.
