A Tahsildar was assaulted by a few persons while performing official duties.
Tahsildar Prithvi Sanikam, accompanied by a revenue inspector and a village development officer, was inspecting government land encroachment on the morning of January 18th in Maddadka, Kuvettu village of Beltangadi Taluk. The officials were in a government vehicle at the time of the incident.
Two individuals Naseer and Rauf, who were occupying the disputed land, allegedly attempted to assault Tahsildar Prithvi Sanikam, obstructing the government duties in the process.
Their actions also reportedly disrupted public peace and order as they directed verbal abuse towards Pratish, the revenue inspector present at the scene.
A case has been registered at the Beltangadi Police Station, based on a complaint lodged by Beltangady Tahsildar Prithvi Sanikam, citing violations under IPC sections 353 and 504.
