Belthangadi: Kothi Raju to scale Gadaikallu on Feb 12

Belthangadi: Jyoti Raj, who is famous for climbing the Chitradurga Fort without safety equipment will be seen displaying his skills in Belthangadi on February 12.

Popularly known as “Kothi Raju” or “Monkey King”, Jyothi Raj is preparing to scale the Gadaikallu (Jamalabad Fort) Narasimha Ghada.

Built by Tipu Sultan in the year 1794, the Jamalabad Fort is a popular destination among nature enthusiasts and trekkers. The fort is 1700 feet above sea level.

Jyothi Raj jas already arrived with his 8-member team and has begun preparations to scale the 18th-century fort with his hands.

Speaking to Udayavani, Jyothi Raj said that he had cherished the dream of scaling Gadaikallu. Permission has already been obtained from the wildlife and forest department. A rope will be fitted around his waist for safety purposes.
