Belthangadi: Veteran Congress leader and 5-time MLA K. Vasantha Bangera passes away

Belthangadi/Bengaluru: K. Vasantha Bangera, a prominent Congress leader known for his influence in Dakshina Kannada district, breathed his last at a private hospital in Bengaluru today, May 8, around 4 pm.

The 79-year-old leader had been battling deteriorating health, receiving treatment at the hospital in Bengaluru.

Born on January 15, 1946, Vasantha Bangera was the first son of Kede Subba Poojary and Devaki. His recent health decline led to his hospitalization, but despite efforts, his condition worsened.

The news of his demise has saddened many across the region. As per family sources, arrangements are underway for his body to be brought to Belthangadi, with expectations for it to arrive early tomorrow, May 9. Plans for the public to pay their respects are also in motion, with arrangements being made for the final darshan.
