Belthangady: Complaint against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi for provocative speech

Belthangady: A complaint has been lodged against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi, a key member of the Rashtriya Hindu Jagarana Vedike, for allegedly making provocative remarks during a Ganesh Chaturthi event in Ujire on September 8.

The complaint, filed by the Jain community at Belthangady Police Station on September 12, accuses him of attempting to create disharmony between Hindus and Jains.

Mahesh Shetty (55) reportedly used derogatory language against public institutions, which was shared on YouTube channels. The complaint further states that he incited violence and aimed to disrupt communal harmony. The complainants also submitted potential evidence, including videos and pen drive records, with the complaint, urging immediate legal action.
