Belthangady: Complaint filed against Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi and 5 others for assault on couple

Belthangady: A man from Ujire alleged that he and his wife were physically assaulted by Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi and five others. A police complaint has been registered in this regard.
The complainant, identified as P Bhaskar Naik (50), claimed that the assault took place when he was returning after finishing an interview with Thimarodi for a YouTube channel on September 2.
Besides Thimarodi, the complaint named Mohan Shetty Paniyalu, Mukesh Shetty, Prajwal K V Gowda, Neetu Shetty Paniyalu, and Pramod Shetty as the other accused.
According to the complaint, the assault took place on September 2 at around 5 pm near Paniyalu village. Naik said that he and his wife were returning home from Mangaluru after the interview when Thimarodi and others who arrived in a car waylaid them.
The group caught hold of him, tied him to a pole, and assaulted him physically and verbally. they also assaulted his wife when she tried to rescue him, the complainant alleged.
Noticing others coming to the spot hearing the commotion, the group fled from the spot, the complainant added.
