Belthangady: Couple hold simple wedding amid Covid 19 lockdown

Belthangady: The coronavirus pandemic has affected normal lives with several countries imposing a lockdown to contain its spread. In India too, a lockdown has been clamped and people have been advised against stepping out from homes. Several events, weddings etc which see a mass gathering have been postponed.

A couple, whose marriage was scheduled to take place today at Sri DurgaDevi temple too were in a dilemma if they should postpone the wedding. However both the families held discussions and it was decided to hold the wedding in a simple manner at their home.

Pavan, an employee of a private bank and Vidya, an Anganwadi worker got married as per tradition at the groom’s residence in presence of few family members.

Due attention was given to social distancing during the function.
