Belthangady: Driver attacked during morning walk dies in hospital

Belthangady: A man who was attacked by a group of miscreants during morning walk near Junior college road in the city died in hospital on Monday, August 24.

The incident took place when Vasu Safalya (65) went for a morning walk and a team of miscreants attacked with weapons. The severely injured Vasu was admitted to the hospital, however, he died without responding to treatment.

Vasu was working in Belthangady as a taxi driver and his son, Dayananda is also a driver. It is learned that his son drunk and attacked his father previously and a case filed on that incident.

His son is been missing since morning and his mobile is also switched off, causing suspicion on involvement in this incident.

Belthangady PSI Nandakumar, Inspector Sandesh JG, and team are investigating the case.
