Belthangady: Duo arrested for stealing bag containing gold worth Rs 3.2 lakh from a devotee

Belthangady: Police officials have arrested two persons accused of robbing a bag containing gold ornaments worth Rs 3.2 lakh from a devotee

The arrested accused have been identified as Siddarth (26) and Drakshayini Korachara (26) of Asundi village, Gadag

The victim has been identified as Kalpana Chandrashekar Naik of Sirsi who had visited the Dharmasthala temple on April 1.

It is said that around 7.30 am, Kalpana’s mother Bhavani was standing outside the temple with the bag when the thieves snatched it.

An Innova car and stolen gold jewellery were recovered by the police.
