Belthangady: Elderly man found brutally murdered in front yard of residence

Belthangady: An elderly man was found hacked to death in the front yard of his residence in SPB Compound, Belalu village, Belthangady Taluk, on Tuesday, August 20.

The victim has been identified as S.P. Balakrishna Bhat (73).

The incident occurred in the afternoon on Tuesday. However, details regarding the identity of the assailants and the motive behind the murder remain unclear.

The Dharmasthala police have reached the spot and are conducting an investigation. Further information is awaited.
