Belthangady: Man arrested with ganja worth Rs 71,925

Belthangady: Police officials on Monday arrested Mohammed Shafi, 29, resident of Nejikar, Ambottu Mane, and seized 2.055 kg ganja worth Rs 71,925 from his possession.

It is said that Nandakumar MM, sub inspector of city police station and personnel on Monday September 20 stopped a Honda CBR motorcycle at Parappu in Kaliya village of the taluk and detained Mohammed Shafi who was transported ganja.

Police officials have confiscated ganja worth Rs 71,925 weighing 2.055 kg and the bike that was used in the act.

A case has been registered and further investigations are underway.
