Belthangady: A rumour arose that hidden treasures have been found in the land of Panatadi Anand Shetty at Baraya Kanyadi within Nada gram panchayat limits in the taluk.
A local resident had sent a video to the Assistant Commissioner that Anand Shetty had found a hidden treasure a month ago.
On Wednesday, July 21, preparations for a treasure hunt started under the supervision of the tehsildar along with Belathangady police Sub Inspector Nandakumar and Nada gram panchayat Village Accountant.
Anand Shetty speaking to Udayavani said that there is no treasure in the place. He had cleared a palm tree from his land which led to the soil to collapse.
The tehsildar is continuing the treasure hunt and the truth should come out soon. Hundreds have gathered around the site to see the treasure hunt.
