Belthangady: School headmaster Veerendra Patil dies of heart attack

Belthangady:‎‎ The headmaster of Piligudu Government Higher Primary School in Kaniyoor village, Veerendra Patil (52), died of a heart attack at his rented house in Punjalakatte on August 23.‎

‎Patil, a native of Gutthikatte Lambani Hatti in Hosadurga Taluk in the Chitradurga district, lived in a rented accommodation on Pilatabettu Berkala Road in Punjalakatte with his wife and children.

The matter came to light on Tuesday, when Patil’s wife and children returned home after a vacation.

‎Veerendra Patil had earlier served at Badaga Kajekaru School in Bantwal taluk and the Neriya School. He was promoted to the post of head teacher three months ago.

‎Block Education Officer H.S. Veerupakshappa, MLA Harish Poonja, school management, teachers, and the education department have condoled Patil’s untimely death.‎
