Belthangady: Senior journalist & writer Nagaraja Poovani (Prof Na Ujire) passes away

Belthangady: Senior journalist, and retired professor Nagaraja Poovani (Prof. Na Ujire) passed away at the age of 87 at his residence in Ujire on Monday following a brief illness.

Poovani retired as the Hindi lecturer of the S.D.M. College Ujire.

Known for his contributions as a sub-editor of Manjuvani, poet, and writer, Prof. Navujire served as Udayavani newspaper’s Belthangady correspondent for 40 years.

Poovani is survived by his wife Saraswathi N. Raj, and his son Parswanath, who works as an engineer in the US.
