Belthangady: Temple thieves caught on CCTV camera

Belthangady: Thieves broke into Panambur Shri Veerabhadra Mahamayi temple and decamped with cash offerings from the temple hundi in the early morning hours of December 26.

CCTV cameras placed at the temple recorded movements of the two persons trying to break into the temple sanctum here in vain. The thieves ended up decamping with the cash offerings in Hundi.

The incident came to light when priests reached the temple for the morning rituals. The priests noticed the that temple Hundi had been broken into and the offerings were missing and notified the temple authorities.

A case with this regad has been registered with the Bantwal rural police and investigation is underway.
