Belthangady: Yoga by 40,000 families of SDM on Intl Yog Day

Belthangady: SDM College of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences Principal Dr Prashanth Shetty has stated that more than forty thousand families around the world will be hosting a yoga show on June 20 as part of the 6th International Yoga Day.

“The International Yoga Day will be celebrated in more than 40,000 homes, including students, old students and lecturers from the college,” he said at a news conference.

SDM Yoga and Moral Education Project Director Dr Shashikanta Jain, speaking at the conference stated that Shanthivan Trust, in 1991, had provided yoga training to school children in 9 districts of the State. Over 3 lakh students were the beneficiaries of it. All of those students and 4,850 yoga teachers will be participating in the International Yoga Day.

Deans of the college, Dr Shivprasad Shetty, Dr Sujata, Dr Geetha and other members Udaya Subramanya, Dr Ashwin, Dr Arun, members of the government’s International Yoga Day Committee were present.
