Belthangady: Youth from Kabaka drowns in Netravati river in Mundaje

Belthangady: Ina tragic incident, a youngster, who had gone for bathing in the Nethravathi river, met a watery grave at Paramukha in Mundaje village here on Sunday, February 20.
The deceased has been identified as Kiran (20), son of Sundari from Kabaka in Puttur.
It is gathered that Kiran was visiting his grandmothers in Mundaje and had been to the river for a bath along with his cousin.
Police and fire rescue were alerted about the incident soon after. With the help of the locals, a search operation was launched on Sunday evening, but the mortal remains could be brought out only on Monday morning.
