Belthangady’s Bandaru GP selected in ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ recognitions

Belthangady: In the recognitions given by the Central government under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ Independence Day celebrations, the Bandaru gram panchayat in the taluk here has been selected for the good implementation of Mission Antyodaya.
Bandaru is one of the five gram panchayats from the State for the best implementation of the Mission between 2015 and 2020.
The recognitions are being granted to 75 gram, taluk and zilla panchayats.
Dakshina Kannada zilla panchayat has been selected in the zilla panchayat category.
On March 12, the Panchayat Raj secretaries congratulated the 75 gram panchayats through a webinar.
Panchayati Raj institutions from Karnataka selected for the recognition:
Zilla panchayat – Dakshina Kannada, Davangere, Kodagu, Mandya
Taluk panchayat – Tumkur, Hunsur, Mudigere, Sagar
Gram panchayat – Bandaru, Herur, YN Hoskote, Nandagad
