Belthangdy: Man drowns in fast-flowing stream

Belthangadi: A man allegedly drowned as he slipped and fell into a stream, at Malavanthige in the taluk.

Hirimaru resident named Ganesh (40), son of Kinni Gowda, had fallen into a fast-flowing stream and washed away while returning from his Arecanut grove.

Locals had launched a search and found the body stuck between rocks in the stream.

A complaint has been lodged at Belthangady Police Station.

The deceased is survived by his father, mother, wife, and two daughters.
